Selected projects in AI-assisted research, knowledge management and digital workflows by Julian Bruno Vogel.

EY Knowledge Base - MVP Concept Draft

Concept draft MVP of a Knowledge Base for EY Swiss Tax Service Line that brings a searchable library catalogue, prepared source-based summaries and personal notes into a browser-saved dossier. Users can select and order sources, then prepare PDF or ZIP exports and an email preview. The catalogue contains researched publications with illustrative holdings; this is not (yet) an official EY application.

Focus: knowledge discovery, source transparency and turning research selections into reusable, case-specific dossiers.

Barbaro Research Desk

A research workspace for Marco Barbaro’s Venetian genealogical manuscripts. It brings scans, draft readings and person-and-relationship records together, linking interpretation back to source evidence and recording uncertainty.

Focus: archival knowledge organisation, source traceability and the distinction between evidence and interpretation.

CH-LEX

A Swiss legal-research project, first developed as a Custom GPT and subsequently explored through a mobile web launcher. The launcher prepares a structured legal briefing for use in ChatGPT.

Focus: structuring specialist knowledge and translating it into a usable research workflow.

IZA e-Gesuchsportal

An interactive mock MVP for an international-cooperation grant process. It translates the workflow into three views for administration, applicants and reviewers, covering application, assessment, recommendation and reporting with synthetic data.

Focus: requirements analysis, process modelling and communication between specialist users and technical implementation.

ASVE Atlas

ASVE Atlas connects catalogue search, archival context and finding aids with research notes and archive-visit planning. Researchers can turn selected entries into question-led research lists, record priorities and next actions, prepare visit packs and document what they actually consulted. The local workspace links these records to Obsidian notes, keeping interpretation connected to its sources.

Focus: information architecture, source traceability and connecting discovery, research planning and archival consultation.

Lager.ai

A mobile-first storage-planning and inventory application that connects item records, dimensions, photographs and tags with floor-plan, elevation and 3D views. Local and collaborative spaces organise the inventory and support structured PDF reports.

Focus: structured information modelling, spatial knowledge organisation and reusable document output.

ZVV Display

An independent public-transport departure board designed for a small display. It filters timetable information, refreshes departures automatically and retains a cached view when the connection is interrupted.

Focus: information selection, external data integration and a clear interface under device constraints.

A mobile time-recording application with start, pause and stop controls, editable entries and structured PDF and Excel exports. It turns everyday time records into a reusable work journal.

Focus: records management, mobile workflow design and structured document output.
